Job Title
Resourcing & Delivery Consultant (FTC)
Reporting of the role
This role reports to the Director of Business Operations
Overview of the job
We are looking for a heavy-hitting Resource Management or Commercial Operations Consultant on a contract basis to act as the strategic bridge between our delivery teams and our commercial finance function. We aren't looking for someone to manage day-to-day resource scheduling. Instead, we need a seasoned agency expert to help us architect our resource management ecosystem from the ground up, while embedding commercial discipline, pricing governance, and scoping rigor across the agency.
In this role, you will be the ultimate product champion and vision-holder for our new resource and task-management capabilities. While our internal Product and Engineering teams will handle the actual technical build, you will define exactly what the tool needs to do - making sure it tracks task management, time tracking, forecast allocation, and project profitability. Crucially, you will ensure this tool aligns with our commercial reality, partnering directly with Commercial Finance to operationalize our new pricing strategy, protect margin floors, and build a scalable framework for future delivery teams.
3 best things about the job
Direct business-critical impact: You will directly shape how a growth-stage agency operationalizes commercial discipline, delivery excellence, and resource optimization. You aren't just designing a tool; you’re establishing the blueprints for how we protect our margins and scale our operations.
High-level cross-functional influence: You will act as a trusted partner to the CFO and senior leadership to design operating models, manage resource trade-offs, and drive meaningful organizational change without needing to manage a massive team.
Visionary tool building, zero firefighting: You get to drive the end-to-end vision of our resource and time-tracking features from conception to launch. Because you aren't bogged down by daily, reactive scheduling conflicts, your time is dedicated to strategic operational architecture, automation, and long-term process optimization.
Measures of success
Resource Tool Blueprint & Roadmap: Produced a roadmap for resourcing and timesheet capabilities alongside the Product and Engineering teams.
Driven the feature from conception to launch: Acted as the ultimate guardian of the user experience throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring the final product aligns perfectly with the original operational vision.
Roles & Responsibilities
Own the product vision: Act as the strategic visionary for our new resource management feature. Partner with Product & Engineering to translate operational resourcing, capacity planning, and time-tracking needs into clear, technical feature requirements.
Operationalize the pricing strategy: Partner with the CFO and Commercial Finance to roll out our resourcing strategy, implement change management, team training, and governance.
Design for automation & ease: Advocate for smart, automated workflows within our tool design to minimize manual admin for our teams, ensuring data entry is frictionless and highly accurate.
What you will need
Senior agency PM & resource planning track record: Deep experience in a resource planning leadership role within a fast-paced creative, media, influencer, or social agency context.
Strong commercial & financial fluency: You can confidently read campaign commercials, understand margin mechanics, manage resource cost allocation, and engage credibly with senior finance stakeholders.
Excellent communication & stakeholder influence: Ability to build high-trust relationships and influence senior stakeholders without relying on direct line authority.
Experience with relevant tools: Deep experience of resourcing, time-tracking and project management or work management systems.
Nice to haves
Product design exposure: Experience collaborating directly with UX/UI designers, product managers, and/or engineers to map out user journeys and software wireframes.
AI prototyping skills (Claude Code / Loveable / etc): You know how to use agentic developer tools to spin up quick, functional prototypes or UI mockups. You leverage AI effectively to visibly demonstrate your product vision and clear up alignment gaps before the engineering team starts to work.
